Shoe/boot forged iron heel plates
Hand forged iron heel plates. Hot forged from 1/8 x 1/2 iron. 5 holes countersunk to match special shoe nails that are furnished. Easy to install, A must for period shoes with leather heels. A small investment that can add years of life to your heels. Plates are 3 inches wide x 2 7/8 inches long. Plates were never designed to fit contour of heel exactly, just to fit on heel and prevent wear. Sold per set, buy in quanity and I will combine shipping- shipped in $4.85 flat rate box or envelope. Elk antler handle patch knife
Patch knife with elk antler handle with blade forged from 1084 high carbon steel. Knife is 9 3/4 inches long, blade is 5 inches long x 1 1/4 inches wide x 1/8 inches thick. Knife has a poured pewter bolster and a single iron pin thru the handle. Blade has been differentially heat treated to produce a very hard cutting edge to hold a sharp edge thru lots of use. Antler handle riflemans knife
Antler handle knife made from 1084 high carbon steel with poured pewter bolster. Knife is 12 1/2 inches long with blade being 7 1/4 long x 1 3/8 inches wide x 1/8 inches thick.Handle is a shed antler. Blade has been differentially heat treated to give a good edge for staying sharp thru a lot of use. Blade is stamped with my touchmark and has a patinaed finish. Spike Axe by Mark Francis McGee < SALE PRICED >
The head for this spike axe is made from a brass pipe tomahawk head that had the bowl broken off. I hand forged a steel spike for it and turned the head into a spike axe. Head measures 9 3/8 inches overall with a 4 inch long hand forged steel spike. 2 1/4 inch edge. 18 1/4 inch ash handle... no sand paper was used on this handle.... only rasps, files, hand scraped, and hand boned. Aged finish overall. This is a very nice "made up" spike axe using a broken bowl pipe axe.... something that would have been done on the frontier as the head would not have been discarded.
