HERSHEL HOUSE LONG KNIFE***SALE PENDING***
My notion of a true styled long knife, the type Boone and the Long Hunters would have carried. Blade is 10 5/8" long but looks a foot long. Forged from 1095 spring stock, tempered and drawn some as a Flintlock mainspring, tough and limber. Through tang riveted down on a domed forged end cap. Hilt forged and rough shaped, hot stamped twice, blade six times, homemade stamps. Iron collar cut from a musket barrel, braised to the hilt for maximum strength. Deer crown handle, fits a right or left hand well. A strong very useable knife. The knife measures 15 3/8" overall.***Thanks Herman***
