|early Lancaster pattern rifle with honest patina |
.50 flint rifle in style of Dickert, Graeff, Gonter, Lauck and many others working from Lancaster, down through the valley of Virginia and the Carolinas, or west into Kentucky and Ohio. Getz 44" swamped barrel and Chambers lock are clean and crisp inside, lightly worn brown outside. Approx 14" LOP and 3" drop. Sliding wood patchbox, single trigger, brass mounts and bold curly maple with deep color. No accelerants or faux aging, wear to wood and metal is consistent - this long slim rifle has a warm patina from actual use and care. Ready for competition, reenacting and the fireplace. $2,850 plus shipping / insurance.
|Harpers Ferry US rifle - first model |
.54 Harpers Ferry rifle (1803-05) is a careful copy of originals with handmade lock and castings from the Rifle Shoppe - except stocked with 13 7/8" pull by 3" drop for comfortable shooting.
