|Hunters Horn dated 1759, by Mike Hawkins|
This Horn measures approx. 14" along the outside curve and is for right side carry. I called this the Hunters horn because of the period hunting scene that has been scrimshawed around the base. Base has been plugged with Cherry that has been secured with 5 hand hewn pegs then chipped carved with a pin wheel. It has been distress to compliment the rest of the horn. Spout starts at an octagonal shape then to a double wedding ring that has been chip carved on both sides, it the proceeds to the sawtooth shoulder in a round form. There has been a cartouche left open for the owners initials with the date under it of 1759. This piece would look great with that prized flinter and bag. and its made to not only be used but admired. Price includes shipping in the continental U.S.
